I dont get NASCAR. Cars driving around in circles for hours waisting gas that could be used to drive relief supplies to homeless families in New Orleans. And the fans who watch it; "Wow here he comes...Wow here he comes again...Wow this is fun only 497 more laps to go!" What do the announcers do"here comes Jr. around corner 2, holy cow what a turn"

I don't know about the families in New Orleans, but that was funny.  But I will admit I do like the INDY 500

Oh come on now, someone has to care about the New Orleans families.  I'm with Shimasaki, I've never understood the souped up sedans. 

Of course, I am a sucker for Formula One...

Oh, and while I'm at it, another one that I don't get is funny cars.  What's that all about?  Full speed for what, two seconds, with a parachute coming out of your tailpipe and race over.  What race?!  What's the point?!

This is something I do - ask Matt. I cover NASCAR for a living....feel free to ask a question, but like every sport, the more you know the more interesing it is.

Except that at the end of the day, it's just a bunch of guys driving around in a circle.

How many rules can there be to a bunch of people driving around in circles? Are the drivers penalized for making right turns? Do the drivers get points taken off for using the wrong octane gas?

This is a sport where a preformance enhancing drug is meth! How bad a sport is it where the "athletes" wont use the juice?
