Title: Thoughts with my morning coffee

Blog Entry: College Football Connecticut:   A devastating loss for a team already emotionally devastated. Florida :  The offense is back. Iowa :  They teeter on the edge again but they don't fall. Michigan :  If anyone still had any doubts, the wheels have come off the bus.  Inability to score in the red zone, ball insecurity, defensive lapses, lack mental toughness.  The Wolverines have it all. Notre Dame :  Are they for real?  Who have they played and beaten?  They beat Wash. St. and lose to Michigan and we know about Michigan  (see comment above if you've forgotten). USC :  Pete Carroll has to get back to coaching and not sitting on his own past glory.  The time masquerading as a contender is over. NFL Minnesota v. Green Bay :  Well, at least the return of Brett Favre to Green Bay wearing purple hasn't been over hyped at all by the networks.  Did I mention the "Favre cam" being deployed today by FOX? New York Giants v. Philadelphia Phillies :  How many NY-PA matchups can a nation withstand? Oakland Raiders :  Now, women from Tom Cable's past are accussing him of violence.  Raider Nation must be so proud. San Francisco 49ers :  Okay, I'm a fan but I'm not blind.  I have an average team that is about to meet Peyton Manning in Indianapolis.  I don't care how healthy and rejuvenated Alex Smith feels, I don't expect a great outing for my team.  I just hope they lose with some dignity. St. Louis v. Detroit :  With a blackout in Detroit, at least those poor fans will be spared the indignity of seeing this game.  Detroit is having a rough enough time in this economy as it is.   Washington Redskins :  Why in the world would Chris Samuels want to come back to play with the Redskins? Baseball I wonder if either of the two centaur paintings Alex Rodriguez has in his bedroom as nearly as good as this one circulating the internet by jasoncfry of Faith and Fear in Flushing . And finally, This is why nobody outside of Durham likes Duke Basketball.
